Wigner Underground Laboratory
The Wigner's Jánossy Lajos Underground Laboratory located within the KFKI Campus at Csillebérc. It belongs to the Wigner RCP of the HAS. It is a 30m depth pit, with a complex 3D structure on 3 levels below the ground. The useful area of the lab is 150 sqm which are 20 sqm at level -1, 2x20 sqm at level -2, and 2x20 sqm + 50sqm at level -3. Electricity and internet connection is available on its whole territory. The lab was built originally for cosmic particle measurements during the 1960s, it provides good basis for low cosmic background measurements.
